Cookies and Server Log Files

The NF Wire Forum website uses cookies. Cookies are text files which are stored on a computer system via an Internet browser.

By using cookies, it is possible for the websites and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the person concerned from others.

By using cookies, NF Wire Forum can increase the user-friendliness of this website and provide services that would not be possible without cookies. For example, the user of a website that uses cookies does not have to enter his or her access data again each time he or she visits the website because this is done by the website and the cookie stored on the user’s computer system.

By changing the settings of the relevant Internet browser, the setting of cookies can be prevented for all Internet pages. Cookies already set can be deleted. This is possible in all common internet browsers, but the function of the website may be limited.

For technical reasons, so-called server log files are also created. In these files, the hosting provider stores technical data (e.g. browser type and version, operating system used, time of request, IP address, etc.), which the browser automatically transmits to it. This data is not merged with other data, so that a personal reference is not possible.

Purpose of the data collection and, if applicable, transmission of the data

Personal data is only collected by us if you provide it voluntarily, for example in the context of an inquiry. Data is entered in the areas described below:

Contact form

The contact form offers interested parties the possibility to send inquiries directly to NF Wire Forum. Due to legal regulations, the website also contains information (e.g. in the imprint) that enables quick electronic contact to our company (e.g. via e-mail address). If a person contacts NF Wire Forum by e-mail or via a contact form, the personal data transmitted by the person is automatically stored. Data transmitted during this contact is stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the person concerned. In most cases, the e-mails sent are delivered to general mailboxes of the departments. Unless necessary for the processing purpose, this personal data is not passed on to third parties outside the Group companies.

If you contact our trading partners via your own e-mail service, they will process your data (depending on their location, also in countries outside the EU). NF Wire Forum is no longer responsible for this processing.

Social Plugins

Social plugins are used on our websites. You can recognize the plugins of the respective providers by their logo. If you visit a page with such a plugin, the operator of the service is informed which pages you visit. User profiles can be created from the processed data. We therefore have no influence on the amount of data that an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider. It is also possible that the service provider will attempt to store cookies on the computer used.

If you are logged in with your respective account, the provider may be able to assign your surfing behavior to your personal profile. You can prevent this by first logging out of your account and deleting any cookies that may have been set.

We also prevent the unconscious and unintentional collection and transmission of data to the service provider through a 2-click solution. To activate a desired social plugin, it must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding button. Only when the plugin is activated, the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider is triggered. We ourselves do not collect any personal data via the Social Plugins or their use.

Please refer to the privacy policy of the respective provider to find out which specific data is collected and how it is used.

We use the following plugins on our website:

Legal basis of the processing

If we obtain consent for certain processing operations, this is based on Art. 6 I lit. a DS-GVO. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract, e.g. for the delivery of goods, or for pre-contractual measures, e.g. in response to inquiries, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. b DS-GVO. If our company is subject to a legal obligation which makes the processing of personal data necessary, for example to fulfil tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. c DS-GVO. Insofar as the processing of personal data is not based on any of the aforementioned legal bases, we process data in order to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company (improvement of the execution of business activities, or analysis, optimization and economic operation of our web presence). In doing so, we always make sure that no legitimate interest of the person concerned, which outweighs our legitimate interest, stands in the way of this.

Duration for which the personal data is stored

The criterion for the duration of storage of personal data is the respective legal retention period. After this period has expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted if it is no longer required for the fulfillment or initiation of a contract.

If you send us an e-mail using the contact form, your e-mails will be received by the relevant mailboxes and archived there for an unlimited period of time.

Your data that is stored in the course of using our Facebook page will be deleted – as far as we are able – when the Facebook page operation is discontinued.

Right of information and revocation, right of complaint and right to data transfer, restriction of processing, correction and deletion

You have the right to receive information about your data stored by us and the purpose of storage at any time. You can revoke your consent to the storage or use of your personal data in writing at any time. In addition to the revocation, you have the right to demand the correction as well as the restriction of the processing and blocking or deletion of your data.

You have the right to address complaints to the appropriate supervisory authority (for NRW: The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf). You also have the right to receive the data you have submitted in a machine-readable format for transmission.

If you have questions regarding the processing of your personal data, you can also contact us directly (responsible office: see imprint). For all questions and requests for information, applications or complaints, you can also contact our external data protection officers directly.
